My practice explores the role of artists in addressing the complex and interconnected issues of our times, with a focus on environmental and social sustainability. By practicing a range of approaches, including Participatory Art, Representational Art, and Arts-activism, I aim to discover and implement positive climate solutions. From transforming paper scraps into new plant life, to creating an online sharing platform for unwanted art materials, tools, objects.
My work has been rooted in place-based activism within the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds and intends to create a circular material ecology, reduce the economic challenge for artists and encourage community supporting platforms. I am driven by the belief that shifting our focus towards creative solutions can help us enact change in the way we inhabit this planet.
