Little windows into experiences, my art is a celebration of the mundane and the weirdly profound aspects of everyday. Working off the basis of: ‘it’s all just character building’, I create art that peers into anecdotes, text-based paintings that capture the complex relationships between language culture and identity, many of which, come from the small rural village that I – and several generations of my family – grew up in.  

My paintings present brief insights into dialogue between people on street corners, family events, arguments. Locations that remind you of something, a bit like taking a book and making the story up from the pictures, filling the gaps to make it make sense.
